Winslow’s BBQ Adds Live Music On The Patio To Friday Nights
Enjoy live music on Downtown Kansas City’s largest patio this Friday April 10 2015
KANSAS CITY MO. – April 8 2015 – Winslow's BBQ located in the historic Downtown Kansas City City Market is kicking off its long-standing tradition of live music on its patio this weekend. Winslow’s patio transforms into a stage for local bands on Saturdays and Sundays during the spring and summer months. New this year Winslow’s BBQ owner Gerry Heldrich decided to introduce the addition of live music on Friday nights from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Winslow’s BBQ has had requests for an additional night of live music in the past and felt this year would be a great time to add Friday nights to the line up with all the improvements that have been going on around the City Market Heldrich said “We want people to come out and have a good time after work.”
In August of 2013 the City Council of Kansas City Missouri passed a $5 million bond to fund the improvements to The City Market property. Since then the property has already undergone many infrastructural renovations. This past winter the windows were replaced throughout the property and shed’s two and three received new roofs. These new improvements give the historic City Market a more updated look and feel just in time for the streetcar’s arrival in 2016.
Winslow’s BBQ will have its second live music performance of 2015 this Friday April 10 starting at 5:00 p.m. To go along with the Friday night’s live music Winslow’s will be offering various drink specials during happy hour. Guests to the iconic City Market area can also catch live music on Winslow’s 300-seat patio every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. To see a list of the bands that will be performing on Winslow’s patio this weekend visit www.winslowsbbq.com.
