Montreal – February 20th 2015 – There’s a new food event in the 514. Say hello to Mac&Cheese Week an event created by restaurants for restaurants. The event has been organized by Le Cheese with event co-host L’Gros Luxe and official media partner Nudabite.
Mac&Cheese Week will take place during the second week of March running from the 9th until the 16th inclusively and will feature some of the city’s most creative chefs. Each dish will be rated in their respective restaurant where guests will be encouraged to provide feedback on their overall experience. Mac&Cheesers will then be asked to vote for their favourite dish on Nudabite.com.
“We really wanted to create a community food festival” says Benjamin Carter of Le Cheese. “We wanted the focus to be on the restaurant instead of the normal PR bandwagon that surrounds our food festivals here in Montreal. We’re all friends and respect one another so this was a great opportunity for us to come together collaborate do what we love most and create some cheesy magic.” Participating restaurants will also include; Diablos Burger Royal Dirty Dogs Pierre et Pierre SUWU Evoo and Dinnette Tripple Crown. Not to mention the hosts Le Cheese and both L’Gros Luxe locations.
The secret is definitely in the sauce as each participating restaurant encourages their chefs to be creative and think out of-the-box with their culinary strategies. Everything from over-the-top combinations including hot dogs with foie gras to the simple yet powerful ‘less is more’ recipes will undoubtedly tantalize the taste buds of Mac&Cheesers throughout the city.
Mac & Cheese Week will cover the plateau The Main and Mile End as well NDG and the Southwest areas of Montreal. The average cost will range between $8 to $18 and organizers are encouraging the public to tap into social media to share feedback as well to engage themselves in the daily Twitter Q&A’s for each restaurant. During the 10 final days leading up to the event Le Cheese and Nudabite will release a video-a-day countdown to showcase each restaurant and give potential visitors a glimpse into the restaurants and their featured Mac & Cheese dish.
