Qatar- NBK named official transport partner for QIEF


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK), one of Qatar's leading business conglomerates, will be the official car transport for the 24th Qatar International Equestrian Festival (QIEF), which will be held at the Qatar Racing an Equestrian Club (QREC) in Doha from February 19-26 under the patronage of the Emir, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

NBK will have 60 dazzling Mercedes Benz S-Class vehicles lined up for the star-studded event, adding comfort and class to the transportation solutions for the entire event and its high-profile guests in addition to granting 10 Mitsubishi cars to the QREC.

The sponsorship announcement was marked with a signing ceremony which took place at the QREC in the presence of NBK Chairman and CEO Sheikh Nawaf Nasser bin Khaled AI Thani and QREC President Sheikh Mohammed bin Faleh AI Thani.

Sheikh Nawaf said: "Our partnership with the QREC has spanned more than a decade through which we have seen the club saving no effort to promote the sports heritage of our country. Equestrian sports are deeply rooted in the fabric of our culture and we are, therefore, extremely proud to be associated with such an event. We're confident that this year's edition will prove to be just as memorable and fantastic."

This sponsorship is in line with NBK's effort to be at the vanguard of sports in Qatar, having strongly invested to promote national sports happenings and home-grown initiatives since its inception.
