King River Copper (ASX:KRC) has completed the second round of its Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling program at its Speewah Dome Project in Western Australia.

A total of 28 holes totalling 1470 metres were drilled more than the planned 1250 metres.

All samples are being dispatched to Perth for assay and drill data is being compiled. Results from the program will be released in early 2015.

Drilling was focussed on the Chapman-Catto-Greys corridor in the north-east sector of the Speewah Dome where better ground conditions suited the occasional showers.

More metres were drilled targeting deeper geophysical anomalies along the Chapman-Catto-Greys corridor.

KRC plans to drill additional holes at the Todhunter North-Pentecost and King River Fault Zone prospects in 2015.

The company had completed 57 drillholes under the first round at the Chapman Greys-Catto Eiffler North Calamondah Todhunter North Todhunter and Todhunter South prospects.

This intersected visible copper in a number of holes.

New Mineralisation Style

Sampling at Speewah Dome had identified a new Style of mineralisation at the intersection of the Pentecost and Todhunter fault systems.

Surface samples returned high copper and silver associated with significant iron as well as low levels of lead and antimony. Notably this metal combination has not been recorded elsewhere on the project.

At the Greys-Chapman Area a new outcropping gold mineralized vein was identified 1.5 kilometres north of Greys and 2.5 kilometres south of Chapman.

Samples collected from the Calamondah Area show there is a 800 metre strike length of potential mineralised structures.
