Jerusalem "red line" against any partition bids - Palestine PM

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said Sunday that Al-Quds (Jerusalem) "is a red line" and the Palestinians would not allow any attempt to divide the holy city between Jews and Muslims.

"We will not accept the attempts against Al-Quds city to empty it from the Palestinian citizens thus Judaize it," Hamdallah said in a statement to official WAM news agency on sidelines of his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He urged Arabs and Muslims to support Al-Quds and steadfastness of Juresalemites against the Israeli attempts to divide the city between Jews and Muslims.

Hamdallah thanked the UAE for its relentless support for the Palestinians, citing the construction of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Mosque in Al-Quds, and the USD 200 million contribution to the reconstruction of Gaza.
