Qatar- Transport Minister Leaves for Egypt


(MENAFN- QNA) HE Minister of Transport Jassim Saif Al Sulaiti left Doha Tuesday heading to Egypt to preside over the 27th session of the Arab transport ministers' meeting, which will be held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.

The two-day meeting, which starts tomorrow, will tackle a set of issues related to the land, sea and air transport sectors, and will discuss linking Arab countries with a land transport network, linking Arab ports and the required legislative to stimulate the private sector towards investment in transport.

The meeting will also touch on joining the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) in order to preserve the rights of maritime labor and vessel owners as well as the facilitations the agreement will provide to procedures for Arab ships in ports of other countries.
