Morocco's inflation rate grows to 2.3 percent


(MENAFN) Morocco's annaul consumer inflation increased to 2.3 percent in June from 1.9 percent in May, due to higher food prices.

On the other hand, annual food inflation jumped to 4.4 percent from 3.6 percent in the previous month.

Meanwhile, non-food price inflation increased slightly to 0.6 percent in the 12 months to June from a 0.5 percent in May.

However, transports costs dropped 0.6 percent, but hotels and restaurants were 2.4 percent more expensive.
