(MENAFN- Arab Times) A 16-year-old girl, who was reported as missing by her family, was found hiding in a relative's house because her aunt was torturing her.
According to security sources, when a family informed securitymen that their 16-year-old daughter is missing, securitymen formed a team to investigate her whereabouts.
They eventually discovered that she is staying with a relative in Jahra.
She was arrested and during interrogations, she revealed that she escaped from the house and ran to her relative's house because her aunt (mother's sister) used to torture her and force her to beg for money.
Securitymen found traces of torture on the girl's body and referred her to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
