Jordan- Man found dead under Abdoun Bridge

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Police on Monday said they were trying to determine the identity of a man whose body was found lying under Abdoun Bridge earlier in the day. The man, estimated by officials to be in his mid-30s or early 40s, was spotted lying on the street under the bridge at around 3:30pm, Public Security Department (PSD) Spokesperson Lt. Col. Mohammad Khatib said. The PSD official said an initial examination of the body indicated that he died as a result of a fall. "We cannot determine if the man jumped off the bridge or if it is a homicide," Khatib told The Jordan Times. He added that criminal lab personnel at the scene took the man's fingerprints as well as blood and tissue samples. "Uncovering his identity will help us determine what happened to the man," Khatib added. The victim's body was taken to the National Institute for Forensic Medicine for an autopsy, according to the PSD spokesperson. In May this year, a 27-year-old man died after falling from the bridge, but the police said homicide was ruled out.
