African Infrastructure and Energy Finance Conference
The African infrastructure and energy market is picking up as the aftershock of the financial crisis begins to subside.
In South Africa, where liquidity flows easily relative to the rest of the continent, hot topics are the major deal opportunities in renewable energy, IPPs and an expanding list of social infrastructure projects from hospitals to prisons.
The story in the rest of the continent is more varied, as financing in the post-Lehman’s world still remains an issue, but one which sponsors and lenders alike are keen and ready to tackle.
E&P continues to pick up across Africa along with opportunities to do business with increasingly productive national oil companies. In East Africa, renewable energy projects are also developing, from wind to hydro, and across Central and Southern Africa a number of financing and investing opportunities are ready-to-go in the pipeline – from transport to the telecoms sector.
In the context of the challenges and opportunities in this diverse continent, African Infrastructure and Energy Finance Conference will bring together major developers, key sponsors, government officials, important investors and lenders, advisory services and multilaterals to exchange knowledge, expertise and network for future deals.
This event is the essential gathering for developers and financiers to discuss with the deal-makers and deal-enablers in Africa.
