Women in Business Conference and Awards
In recognition of the success of women all across the Sultanate, Oman will host the first ever Oman Business Women Awards, in conjunction with the Women in Business conference 2008, taking place at the InterContinental Muscat on the 15th of March.
This is the first time that 'women in business' will be recognised and appreciated in this way, and honouring this occasion will be Mrs. Bahia Hariri, President of the Woman’s Committee in the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and H.E Khalil Abdullah Mohammed Al Khonji, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The Oman Business Women Awards, and the Women in Business Conference 2008, are under the patronage of HE Sayyida Alia bint Thuwaini Al Said, and joining the list of sponsors for this years event are Bank Sohar and Emirates Medical Centre.
Eventscom recently announced the incredible program for this year's conference with Huda Janahi, Dawn Gibbins, Diane Girard, Concetta Lanciaux, Iraqui Houssaini Bouthayna, Huda Al Habsi, Cathy O'Dowd, Liz Jackson, Alya Al-Rawahi, Asya Al-Lamki, Laila Karami, Shamsa Al Seefi, Naeema Al Gasseer, Sangeeta Pendurkar and Sally Burns, speaking out to the next generation of female achievers in Oman.

The only symposium of its kind in Oman, the 2008 Women in Business Conference, and Oman Business Women Awards aim to inspire and motivate young women and professionals to excel in both their chosen careers and personal development.
The four awards that constitute the award ceremony will recognise and promote the professional practices of businesswomen and throughout the two day conference participants will enjoy seminars and workshops within a nurturing and positive environment.
