Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his trip to South Korea visited Seoul mayor's office, the press service of the Uzbek president reported Nov. 24.
Mirziyoyev was met by Mayor of Seoul Pak Won Sun.
At their meeting, special attention was paid to the use of South Korea's advanced experience in city management, development of transportation system, as well as housing and communal services using modern technologies. Importance of active interaction in urban planning, architecture and landscape design was also noted.
Also a ceremony of presenting the title of Seoul Honorary Citizen to Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held. Speakers at the ceremony noted the dynamic development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea, and importance of Mirziyoyev's visit for further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
In turn, the Uzbek president offered to name one of the streets in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent in honor of Seoul as a sign of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
