Jordanian delegation calls for promoting economic ties with Tunisia


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Tunis, Nov. 21 (Petra) -- Presidents of Jordan's Chambers of Commerce and Industry called for removing obstacles hindering the development of economic exchange between Jordan and Tunisia, and promote mutual partnership between the private sectors in both countries.

The Jordanian officials gave the remarks during meetings the Jordanian economic delegation held in Tunis, on Tuesday, with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) and Tunisia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of a number of businessmen and investors from both countries.

The Jordanian delegation called for organizing exhibitions for direct sale or showcasing products, goods and services in both countries.

Both sides also agreed to form a committee to study the establishment of a direct maritime line between Jordan and Tunisia.

The Tunisian-Jordanian Business Forum, which aims to promote economic partnerships between the private sectors in both countries, will be held in Tunis on Wednesday.
