Qatar reiterates peaceful use of nuclear power for development

The State of Qatar reaffirmed that the peaceful uses of nuclear energy are the key to achieving development, promoting rapprochement among peoples and building a safer world for everyone.
Ambassador H E Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's permanent representative to the UN and international organisations in Vienna, made the remarks as he read the State of Qatar's statement before the IAEA's Technical Assistance and Cooperation Committee meeting.
He said Qatar pays special attention to the development of its institutions concerned with the peaceful implementations of nuclear power, particularly in the fields of food, agriculture, human health and environment in line with Qatar's long-term development project, Qatar National Vision 2030.
