Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi Will Be Celebrated on December 1 in Morocco


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – , the feast of the birth of Islamic , which takes place on the 12th day of Rabi' al-awwal, the third month in Islamic calendar, will be celebrated on December 1 in Morocco.

In a statement, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs said they did not confirm the sighting of the lunar crescent of the month of Rabi' al-awwal 1439 AH on the evening of Saturday Safar 29, 1439 AH which coincided with November 18, 2017.

Thus, the 1st of Rabi' al-awwal 1439 AH corresponds to Monday, November 20, 2017 and Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi will be celebrated Friday, December 1, 2017.

Known by different names in the Islamic world, this celebration is called in Morocco "Eid Al Mouloud," or simply "." It is an occasion for Moroccans to show their devotion to their faith, a spiritual day to recall the ideals of Islam and recite poems dedicated to the Prophet.
