Jordan, Switzerland sign cooperation agreement

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 19 (Petra)-Minster of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury and Swiss ambassador Hans-Peter Lenz on Sunday signed a water cooperation agreement.

This step pursues to launch an institutional plan to monitor financial and technical aid from donor parties to support long-run development efforts in the country, Fakhoury said.

The Swiss envoy, on his part, lauded the Kingdom's tremendous efforts to host consecutive fluxes of Mideast refugees, though it suffers chronic water scarcity. This document is a continuity of the bilateral framework MoU, concluded 2013, and aims to carry out diverse enterprises in the water and sewage sector across the Kingdom, with eye on fostering cooperation with Swiss bodies on better administering water resources and developing relevant infrastructure.
