Lebanese woman to be deported from Dubai over moving drugs

(MENAFN) A Lebanese woman has been fined and ordered to be deported by the Court of First Instance for carrying nearly 2,750 medically-controlled pills at Dubai airport.

The 23-year-old woman earlier denied the charge of importing psychotropic tablets through Dubai International Airport.

Stating that it was for personal use only, she said in her defense that she was unaware that use of such medicines was regulated under UAE law.
