Kuwait- KUNA Chairman receives Jordan's Ambassador


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- The President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), and Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah received Wednesday Ambassador of Jordan to Kuwait Sager Abu Shtal.

They discussed during their meeting preparations for holding the upcoming 45th conference of FANA General Assembly to be held by Jordan News Agency Petra in Amman, Jordan, under the auspices of the Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki, on 23-23 November.

They tackled the importance of holding such a conference during the critical circumstances the Arab region is witnessing, which requires further cooperation between various Arab media institutions.

KUNA Chairman expressed his appreciation to Petra Chairman Faisal Al-Shabbol and all the agency's workers for the offered facilities to the expected FANA conference.

He praised the distinguished and deep-rooted Kuwaiti-Jordanian ties and called for supporting them, as well as boosting cooperation in all fields to better serve the interest of both nations' people.

KUNA is exerting efforts in encountering radicalism, as well as supporting international quest towards achieving global peace and stability, he added.

The diplomat endorsed the role of Kuwaiti media in boosting the historic ties between Kuwait and Jordan.
