NATO parliamentarians laud Kuwait relief efforts, says KRCS


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 14 (KUNA) -- Visiting representatives of NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) have lauded KRCS' humanitarian and relief efforts, said Deputy Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Anwar Al-Hasawi Tuesday.

The NATO PA delegation visited KRCS facilities and viewed the operations center affiliated with the disasters and emergency department, Al-Hasawi stated to KUNA.

They also observed the relief action procedures at the alert and response sector and natural disasters monitoring centers, he added.

The NATO PA representatives were also informed about the Society's local efforts such as providing aid to needy families and launching education campaigns to around 5,000 children of all nationalities, he said.

The NATO PA delegation also viewed a short film highlighting the Society's various regional and international projects and aid efforts, said Al-Hasawi.

KRCS is moving on with providing aid and relief to countries affected by disasters, conflicts, and humanitarian crisis, he affirmed. (end) akw.nfa.ma
