Yemen hostage crises concluded: 6 civilians, 29 police dead


(MENAFN) As Yemeni forces ended a hostage crises claimed by IS on Monday, the total death toll reached 35, including six civilians and 29 police officers, in which a day after the Islamic State group began the attack with suicide bombing, according to official sources.

The crises escalated following the taking over of the criminal investigations unit in Aden by the attackers last Sunday, where they blazed the premises and took hostages after killing two policewomen execution-style.

The attack began on Sunday, when two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the entrances to the criminal investigations unit and the city's security headquarters.
