Jordan- Health Ministry receives mobile clinic from JICA


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 9 (Petra)--The Ministry of Health received from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) a mobile clinic for maternity health services within a project to improve services provided by health center to host communities of Syria refugees.

Health Ministry Secretary General Leil Al Fayez said in remarks during the handover ceremony that Jordan has witnessed over the past few years major progress, mainly in the health field that included a decline in mortality rate, rise of life expectancy at birth and in the combat against communicable diseases.

Al Fayez praised the support provided by Japan to Jordan, mainly in the health field, adding that it contributes to improving the level of health services in the Kingdom.

Masahiro Tada, deputy chief of mission at the embassy of Japan voiced appreciation of efforts exerted by Jordan to improve health services to Syrian refugees, adding that the aid comes to support Jordan in addressing the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.

JICA Regional Office Representative Tsutomu Kobayashi praised Jordan's keenness to provide health services to those who are desperately in need of health care despite their nationality.
