(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Aamal Trading and Distribution, a subsidiary of Aamal Company, has officially launched a Bridgestone Fleet Point centre in Doha, bringing for the 'first time to Qatar a world-class facility for the provision of high-quality commercial tyre services.
Sheikh Khaled bin Faisal al-Thani cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the new service centre on behalf of Sheikh Mohamed bin Faisal al-Thani, vice-chairman and managing director of Aamal Company, in the presence of a number of senior representatives of Bridgestone.
Businesses will now be able to access an 'affordable and efficient one stop shop for all their truck and bus tyre-related services, including tyre changing, wheel alignment and balancing and oil changes, according to a press statement.
Equipped with the latest high-tech machines and professional services, the Bridgestone Fleet Point centre aims to provide improved levels of tyre life, lowered rates of fuel consumption and enhanced safety for its customers' vehicle fleets.
On the occasion, Sheikh Mohamed said: 'Through the opening of Bridgestone's new fleet point, we aim to expand our operations to approach the market for heavy vehicles, and reach out to new business channels that meet the growing demand of the market.
Syed Rashid Hassan, general manager of Aamal Trading and Distribution, added: 'We are proud to introduce Qatar's first Bridgestone Fleet Point for fleets and commercial vehicle owners. We are confident this new offering will add tremendous value to the local market while reinforcing our position as the market leader.
Hassan said they are also investing further in 'our long-term partnership with Total Lubricants, which provides oil change services through their distinctive Rapid Oil Change service centres.
The Bridgestone Fleet Point centre has already been operating successfully in several countries in the Middle East and Africa region. With the opening of this facility in Qatar, Bridgestone has expanded its service network to 10 shops across five countries in the region, the statement adds.
