Puigdemont orders united independence front
(MENAFN) Carles Puigdemont former Catalan leader had ordered separatist parties to join in approaching local elections to continue demanding for independence.
Puigdemont's appeal came a day after a Spanish judge issued an EU warrant for his arrest.
Four of his allies in Belgium could also be deported, while 8 other former officials are still detained in Spain.
Puigdemont says he can participate in the election of Dec. 21 from outside Catalona, while the Spanish government said that any politician with charges can run in the elections unless they were convicted.
