Kawar meets Jordanian community in Detroit

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Washington, Nov. 3 (Petra) -- Jordan's ambassador to the U.S. Dina Kawar recently visited the U.S. city of Detroit, where she met with the Jordanian community members, with the goal of reaching out to expatriate citizens and learn about their needs.

The ambassador's visit comes as part of a series of trips to see at first hand the Jordanian expats' needs across the United States.

During a discussion with members of the community, the ambassador reviewed the latest developments in Jordan and the region, noting that the Kingdom is pressing ahead towards its goals, despite the difficult circumstances in the region.

The envoy also called on the Jordanian community members throughout the U.S. to register on the embassy's website for the purpose of developing communication mechanisms with the community and updating the embassy's database.

Kawar met on the sidelines of the visit with the Deputy Governor of Michigan, Brian Calley and Senator Debbie Stabenow, as well as a number of leading figures in the state.
