CBSE Oman Basketball Championship held
Sanchita Verma, principal, Indian School Sohar declared the tournament open, welcomed and inspired all the players for the team event.
Indian School Ma'abela, Indian School Ghubra, Indian School Seeb, Indian School Salalah, Indian School Wadi Kabir, Indian School Muscat, Indian School Darsait and Indian School Sohar actively participated in the tournament. The presence of the mascot, Mickey Mouse, created an ambience of mirth.Indian School Ghubra emerged the winner and Indian School Sohar was the runner-up in the under 17 Boys category.
In the Girls category, Indian School Wadi Kabir won and Indian School Sohar was the runner-up.
In the under 19 Boys category, Indian School Muscat lifted the winners trophy and Indian School Sohar bagged the runner-up trophy. In the Girls' category, Indian School Muscat outfaced Indian School Ghubra. The students of Indian School Sohar cheered for the players to show their
competency.
The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Mohammed Ali al Farsi, director of Department of Activities and Sports, Sohar Sports Stadium. Principal, Indian School Sohar welcomed the chief guest and the gathering and congratulated the participants for upholding the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the vice principal Dr Vinu Kumar.
The exciting programme ended with an ecstatic applause for the fantastic and well-organised management of the show by Indian School Sohar.
