SHARJAH, 27th October, 2017 (WAM) -- The Friends of Cancer Patients, FoCP, initiative, "Pink Caravan," one of the leading breast cancer awareness campaigns in the UAE, and will continue its mission to educate people about the importance of awareness in tackling breast cancer.
In honour of "International Breast Cancer Awareness Month," the campaign will organise an event, titled, "Ready, Sail, Skydive," on Tuesday, 31st October, in partnership with Skydive Dubai, Nakheel, and the Zero Gravity beach club, to conclude its series of public awareness initiatives throughout the month.
"A skydive is one of the most unforgettable ways to capture people's attention, and that is what we want to do. This brilliant act will not only symbolise our support for thousands of women facing breast cancer in the UAE, but it will also reinforce our ongoing efforts to educate the largest number of people on how to detect physical changes in their bodies through self-examination," said Reem bin Karam, Head of the Pink Caravan Ride Higher Steering Committee.
"I am asking UAE citizens and residents to take some time off their busy schedules and extend their support and solidarity to this noble cause, and join us, as we take a giant leap in our efforts to spread breast cancer awareness in the nation with this skydive. I thank our supporting partners, Nakheel, Skydive Dubai and Zero Gravity Zone, for helping us to launch this event," she added.
