Kuwait- UN celebrates its anniversary day
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stressed that the world faces many grave challenges, which needs a great will to overcome.
"The world faces widening conflicts and inequality, extreme weather and deadly intolerance, and Security threats including nuclear weapons. We have the tools and wealth to overcome these challenges.
All we need is the will," said UN chief in a short Video message late Monday night.
"The world's problems transcend borders. We have to transcend our differences to transform our future," he added.
October 24 is the UN Day, which marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. (end) asf.haq
