Sudan Culture Minister values Qatar's role in Khartoum book fair

Khartoum: Minister of State in the Sudanese Ministry of Culture Hassab Al Rasoul Ahmed Al Sheikh Badr valued the Qatari participation in the current 13th Khartoum International Book Fair.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) Badr said, the cultural talks and other programmes affiliated to the State of Qatar's booth made the cultural movement within the exhibition attractive.
The Minister added that the booth had many visits from the audience, intellectuals and writers adding, the turnout is still higher than other wings, referring to the depth of cultural relations between the two countries, which led to the joint efforts to meet the challenges and develop the cultural vision.
Badr praised the unique efforts done by the State of Qatar to boost the cultural development in Sudan, adding Qatar continuously supports Sudan in all conditions and provided honourable stances that confirmed its authenticity. Qatar provided Sudan with Darfur's peace which strengthened the determination of the people of Sudan to promote and resolve disputes peacefully, Darfur has been transferred from the scourge of war to stability, Badr added.
The Minister referred to the presence of cultural partnerships and agreements between the two countries, which characterized bilateral cooperation in this field.
The State of Qatar played an appreciative role by recognizing and motivating the Sudanese cultural heritage and honouring a number of icons and innovators who took the Qatari platforms as a starting point for regional and international cultural spaces of writers, writers and thinkers.
The Minister of State spoke about the benefits his ministry gained from the Doha Peace Agreement results in Darfur saying it contributed to developing the peace culture and promoting security stability in favour of social peace, which enabled the ministry to organize the events of El Geneina, the capital of Sudanese culture in the state of West Darfur, and the establishment of large cultural activities in all states of Darfur.
