Iraqi PM supports Egypt in its war against terrorism


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi Sunday reaffirmed support to Egypt in its war against terrorism, in the wake of a terrorist attack that killed more than 25 policemen and injured others.

Al-Abadi, in a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Sharif Ismail in Cairo, extended condolences for the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded, a statement by the Egyptian premiership said.

Ismail said terrorism required collaboration of countries of the world to eliminate its financing.

The two sides, meanwhile, agreed to convene a meeting of the joint trade committee. (end) rg.bs
