Singapore: stocks wind up 0.78%


(MENAFN) Singaporean stocks recorded 0.78% higher on Thursday, sustained by US data and another record close in the American markets.

American stock indicators reach new highs during the night, after the Institution of Supply Management's index of non-manufacturing activity increased to 59.8 last month, which is the maximum recording since August 2005.

The country's target Straits Times Index increase 25.19 points to 3,261.84 points.

Singapore Press Holdings lost 1.1% to 2.68 Singapore Dollars, which made it one of the top losers, while Jardine Matheson increased 0.2% to 64.19 U.S. dollars.
