Kuwait- Turkish police detains 50 suspected IS militants

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- Turkish Police anti-terrorism units have detained 50 foreigners in Istanbul suspected of belonging to the so-called Islamic State (IS), security sources said on Saturday.
The anti-terrorism units had intelligence that many IS-suspects hiding in different places in Istanbul, waiting for orders to carry out terror attacks through the country.
The units carried out 10 raids in Istanbul on Friday and detained the 50 suspects, whose nationalities have not been revealed. They are being interrogated. (end) ta.mmj.msa
