(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- A car bombing targeted the convoy of commander of Brigade 29 in Hit town, to the east of Anbar Governorate, west Iraq, on Saturday.
A soldier was killed and three others injured in the blast, according to a statement by the War Media Cell of the Joint Operations Command.
The Iraqi Army, backed by US airstrikes, recaptured Hit from the so-called Islamic State (IS) on April 14, 2016; since then the terrorist group has launched attacks on the army from time to time. (end) ahh.mmg.gb
