(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY: The United States of America has set three conditions for Kuwait to open a pre-clearance facility for entry to the United States from the Kuwait International Airport, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed sources.
The sources said the negotiations between the two countries will continue for a long time until the conditions are met, most notably the number of passenger of all nationalities travelling to America from the Kuwaiti airport must be 1,000 per day or 30,000 a month.
The sources revealed the US authorities have also requested for a window for quick inquiry system to run a check on all passengers to know their past history.
The authorities have also requested for a space at the airport in addition to the adoption of a mechanism for inspection.
The sources pointed out this arrangement will give comfort for passengers who more often than not are faced with difficulties at US airports which prevent them from entering America in addition to causing a three-day delay to return to the point of destination.
