Ignoring US warning, Iran tests new missile

According to Iran's state media, Iran has successfully tested a new medium-range missile though the US had warned that it may cancel the nuclear deal if this is done.
The launched Khorramshahr missile, which was displayed at Tehran's military parade, can carry multiple warheads and can travel up to 2,000 kms.
With this range, the missile can reach Israel and Saudi Arabia.

In 2015, US had signed an agreement with UK, France, Russia, China, Germany and the EU wherein limits were put on Iran's nuclear program, but it was allowed to enrich uranium for domestic purposes.

Attacking Trump, Iran's Rouhani said, "We will strengthen our defence and military capabilities ... whether you want it or not"; he said Trump is looking for "an excuse" to pull out.
From the US perspective, if Trump does not re-certify the bill, Congress will have 60 days to decide whether to re-impose the sanctions.
It is unclear which side will the Republican-controlled Congress tilt.
