Authorities solve destruction for housing needs after Irma hurricane


(MENAFN) Following Hurricane Irma disaster on Havana's old buildings which killed four people, city authorities held a media meeting to highlight the importance of solving the capital's very old building needs.


The city put a strategy in 2012 to fix housing and provide new homes despite the lack of resources to fulfill these goals, Euclides Santos, in charge of Havana housing said.

Furthermore, Some Cubans had been waiting in public shelters for more than 20 years, stressing that his country suffered from the economic crisis after the fall of the Soviet Union along from the decades-long U.S. trade blockade.
