Bahrain deplores Algeria blast
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- Bahrain Thursday condemned the explosion that targeted a police station in Tiaret, Algeria, and left two policemen dead.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Bahrain stands by Algeria in fighting all forms of terrorism, violence and extremism and supports all measures it is taking to protect its citizens and maintain national security.
The ministry called for stepping up regional and global efforts to eradicate the serious phenomenon of terrorism that targets world security and stability.
It also voiced Bahrain's heartfelt condolences to the Algerian government and people as well as the families of the victims. (end) hmd.mt
