Jordan- Health ministry, WHO discuss cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) -- Minister of Health, Mahmoud Sheyab, Tuesday discussed with a World Health Organization (WHO) delegation scopes of cooperation and programs carried out in the Kingdom by WHO.

During the meeting, the delegation presented an action plan draft on responding to health emergencies, which was prepared in partnership and coordination with a team of WHO experts and the ministry's concerned staff.

The minister stressed the importance of reviewing the proposed plan and adopting it as the cornerstone of the ministry's strategy that will be implemented at its emergency operations center, crisis management unit and other relevant departments.

The delegation presented a briefing about the program, aimed at unifying efforts in the field of responding to health emergencies.
