New US strategy against the interest of Afghanistan: Qadir

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Lawmaker Haji Zahir Qadir on Friday warned against surge in the casualties of civilians in the new US strategy for .

Qadir expressed the view in a gathering held to address the problems faced by the eastern provinces.

The participants of gathering expressed worries over growing corruption, civilian casualties in bombardment, electricity related issues, dissemination of wrong information to the central government by the provincial authorities.

Qadir, who represents the people of Nangarhar in , said in the new US strategy there is emphasized over the continuation of war which will pave the way for US bombardment. He criticised the US policy and termed it against the interest of Afghanistan.

He asked political parties to refrain from fueling ethnic tensions. The lawmaker criticised President Ashraf Ghani and said the president failed to fulfill promises he pledged to the people.
