(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, Aug.20 (Petra) - The Lebanese army continues, for the second consecutive day, its military operation against the Daesh terrorist group in Beirut, a security source told Petra's reporter in Beirut Sunday.

The source explained that the troops shelled the group's positions in the towns of Jurud Ras Baalbek and Jurud al-Qaa in the northern Bekaa.

The Lebanese army began today dawn new field operations with a heavy artillery cover in Jurud, where forces advanced in a large number of the fighting's area and the isolated Daesh terrorists in the Martibia Valley, the source added.
