Pakistan- HMC admits Congo virus patient

PESHAWAR, August 11: A 30-years woman affected with Congo virus was admitted to Hayatabad Medical Complext here Friday. The patient identified as old Rabia was tested positive two days back and is under treatment in the hospital, hospital administration said. Fumigation and other precautionary are being taken to avoid spread of the viral disease that is considered fatal.

The administration said that patients was hailing from Karak district. It said that around six patients affected with congo virus was under treatment in the hospital. Directorate of Livestock and Dairy Development has warned to take precautionary measures as animals from other provinces are being transported that may bring the virus with them.
