UAE participates in Arab League meetings on Yemen, Palestine

CAIRO, 17th July, 2017 (WAM) -- The UAE participated in an extraordinary meeting held by permanent delegates to the Arab League Monday which thrashed out the Israeli violations in Al Quds.

Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, who represented the country in the meeting, also participated in the consultative meeting held by the permanent delegates to review the situation in Yemen in the presence of Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Secretary General of Arab League, and Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, UN Envoy to Yemen, with the former warning during the inaugural session of the meeting that million of Yemenis are facing multiple crises at the security, food, health and humanitarian levels.

Addressing the extraordinary meeting, Gamal Al-Shobaki, Palestine's Permanent Envoy to the Arab League, said the meeting has been held at an urgent basis at the request of the State of Palestine to look into Israel's closure of Al Al Aqsa Mosque and the Israeli occupation authorities' aggressive and escalatory measures, the recent of which has been the setup of metal detectors at the mosque's entrance gates.
