Consumer spending in Qatar to grow by 3.2pct this year
(MENAFN) In local currency terms, consumer spending would grow at an annual average of 7.2 percent to QR150.7bn in the recent year to 2021.
Moreover, finding essential purchases to occupy a notable share of household spending, housing and utilities would reach 32.3 percent of total this year.
Meanwhile, food and non-alcoholic drinks are the second largest spending for consumers, accounting for 13.8 percent of total spending.
In addition, spending on food, which make more than 92 percent of headline food and non-alcoholic drinks, is projected to reach QR14.4bn this year.
