Egypt GDP of telecom sector grows by 5.2pct
(MENAFN) The whole gross domestic product (GDP) of the telecommunications and information tech sector grew by 5.2 percent amid Q1 of 2015.
Accordingly, the total GDP increased from EGP13.13bn amid the cited quarter of last year to EGP13.8bn during the same period of this year.
Moreover, the contributions of the communications and information tech sector to the GDP also grew to 3.1 percent during the same period of 2015/2016.
In addition, phone service costs per user increased from USD2.6 to USD2.7 amid the first quarter of this year.
Accordingly, the total GDP increased from EGP13.13bn amid the cited quarter of last year to EGP13.8bn during the same period of this year.
