Morocco: Serial Rapist Arrested After Raping 40 Women, Videotaping Them

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Police officers arrested a suspect accused of raping 40 women and filming them naked in Agadir, in southern Morocco, along with two other individuals.

The arrest took place earlier last week after the prosecutor issued a warrant against the serial rapist. The Solicitor General interrogated the suspect who admitted to kidnapping 40 women, raping them and videotaping them naked.

The suspects carefully chose his victims and abducted them from the city center and the outskirts of the city, according to the daily Alakhbar.

He took them at knifepoint to his hideout in Aït Melloul, just south of Agadir, where he carried out his gruesome felonious acts.

Prior to the rape, the suspect striped his victims and forced them to make sexually appealing poses while he filmed them. He then threatened them to share the photos on social media if they report him to the police, reports Alakhbar.

The suspect uses his victims' fear of scandal in the Moroccan society that still disapproves of a woman who falls victim to rape.

However, his tactic was not successful with all of them. Three women had the courage to report the criminal to the police who were quick to arrest him.

The suspect was arrested Monday in Tassila district after the police identified him.

This incident comes only a few weeks after a teenage girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire after her eight rapists were released.
