Arab society for Islamic civilization and Arts names Hamdan bin Rashid Civilisational Personality of the Year

CAIRO, 29th July 2016 (WAM) --- The Arab society for Islamic Civilisation and Arts has named H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, the Civilisational Personality of the Year-2016, in recognition of his role in supporting intercultural communication and enriching human science.

Assistant Secretary-General of the society, Dr. Huda Darwish, said the nomination was made by a supreme committee made up of the board of directors and presidents of a number of Egyptian universities, including Cairo University.

She noted that the society will hold a press conference about the award on Tuesday at the El-Mokawloon El-Arab Sporting Club in Cairo.
