Abdullah bin Zayed meets Hungarian Defence Minister

BUDAPEST, 14th July, 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, yesterday met with Istvan Simicsko, the Defence Minister of Hungary, in Budapest.

During their meeting, the Hungarian Defence Minister welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and his accompanying delegation, and the two sides discussed cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them, particularly in military and defence affairs. They also discussed international efforts to fight extremism and terrorist groups, as well as ways of enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries on issues that support security and stability, and promote peace in the region.

Sheikh Abdullah and Mr. Simicsko reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region to eliminate the threat of terrorism and its criminal organisations that threaten the security and stability of both countries.
