Sweden, Iran join hands to develop petchem segment

(MENAFN) Iran and Sweden are eager to expand cooperation on energy issues, as cooperation in the oil sector has been limited in the past, but this is about to change completely.

Swedish top companies are considering supplying the Islamic Republic's petroleum industry with the required state-of-the-art machinery, thus proving their commitment.

Specifically, Tehran and Stockholm are basically planning to collaborate in optimizing energy consumption as well as in the petchem industry and production of industrial machinery.

Despite strict sanctions, on 31-March 2015, the first friendly football match was played between the Swedish national team and the Iranian national team at the Friends Arena.
