Eid El Fitr in Saudi Arabia, Morocco to Take Place Wednesday

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Tuesday will be the last of Ramadan and the holy feast of Eid El Fitr will take place on Wednesday in most Muslim countries, in most Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia and Morocco, according to the International Astronomical Center.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia''s Supreme Court urged Muslims across the country to observe the crescent of the month of Shawwal on Monday evening.

However, according to the International Astronomical Center, it will be impossible to sight the crescent of the month of Shawwal with naked eyes on Monday evening in North America, North Africa and the whole Middle East and Asia.

''It is impossible to see the crescent from the areas located under thered color. Because either the Moon on this day sets before the Sunset and/or the topocentric conjunction occurs after the Sunset,'' the International Astronomical Center said on its official website.

The crescent of the moon can be seen with naked eyes on Monday night only in some Latin American countries, such as Chile and Argentina.

Morocco, which started Ramadan a day later tan Saudi Arabia, is expected to observe the moon of the month of Shawwal on Tuesday night.

Morocco relies on special committees across the country to monitor the sighting of the moon, in line with the Prophet''s saying: ''Fast when you see the crescent and break the fast when you see it; if it is not apparent, then make the month of Sha''ban thirty days.''
