Rice, de Mistura discuss humanitarian assistance to Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, July 2 (KUNA) -- US National Advisor Susan Rice and United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Stefan de Mistura discussed at the White House Friday the importance of securing a "sustained and unimpeded humanitarian aid to Syrians." In a statement released by the White House, Ambassador Rice and de Mistrura also discussed "options to reduce violence in line with the terms of the Cessation of Hostilities," and they agreed "on the need to continue urgent efforts under the UN auspices to pursue a durable solution to the conflict through a political transition."
