ABU DHABI, 23rd June, 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President''s Representative has confirmed that celebrating the good deeds and achievements of the late father of the nation, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is gleaned from the facts that emphasise that Sheikh Zayed was an exceptional leader and an immortal symbol in the memory of generations.
In a statement to mark Zayed Humanitarian Day, which falls on the 19th day of Ramadan every year, Sheikh Sultan said that the efforts and time of the late father, Sheikh Zayed, had contributed to establishing an overall cultural renaissance sustained by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Following is the full speech of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed: ''''Today, we mark the anniversary of the death anniversary of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, 12 years have passed, and the UAE and the world still remember his achievements as he had developed the capabilities of the Emiratis, build the country and added to every corner of the UAE.
"On this occasion entitled Zayed Humanitarian Day, we recall the legacy of the father, the late Sheikh Zayed, as his death anniversary emphasises his presence among us, his people and nation. The late father Sheikh Zayed, the man of charity, achievements, good reputation and the pioneer of the development process regionally, is unforgettable, but his death anniversary is an opportunity to be grateful his accomplishments as he had taught us the right and duty values.
"The late Sheik Zayed is still alive, not only in the hearts and minds of the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations, but also across the world due to his great achievements. Sheikh Zayed had highlighted the name of the UAE thanks to his efforts, time and money which resulted in the country''s comprehensive cultural boom sustained by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
